Moving from Primary to Secondary School


Parents should be aware that application to the school is made through the London Wide Co-ordinated Admisisons Scheme.  All applicants must:

  1. Submit the Common Application Form (CAF) to their Local authority or apply online via: eadmissions
  2. Complete the Ursuline High School Supplementary Information Form (SIF)
  • The CAF should be returned to the applicant's Local Authority
  • The SIF should be returned to Ursuline High School
  • The SIF will be used to establish religious practice by the Governing Body
  • The School's Admission Policy should be read before completing the appropriate form.

Waiting List


Parents / carers of children who have not been offered a place at the school, may ask for the child's name to be placed on the Waiting List, which is operated according to our admissions criteria. Placing a child's name on the waiting list does not guarantee that a place will become available.


Appeals


Parents / carers whose applications for places are unsuccessful may appeal to an Independent Appeal Panel set up in accordance with Sections 88 and 94 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998. You should carefully consider the reasons given for not offering your daughter a place and also look at our Admissions Policy. Appeals must be made in writing and must set out the reasons on which the appeal is made.Appeals should be made to the Admissions Appeal Clerk c/o the school address. Parents / Carers have the right to make oral representations to the Appeal Panel. The decision of the panel is final.

Appeals  schedule relating to transfer to secondary school 2017

Friday 24th March 2017 -   Deadline for Parents/Carers to lodge an appeal.

Monday 24th April 2017 -   Deadline for Parents/Carers to submit any paperwork to support their appeal.

Appeals are scheduled to be heard by the end of May 2017.

In Year School Admissions


Applications for a place in Years 8 - 11, or who are already in Year 7 at a Secondaray School should be made by completing an Ursuline High School Supplementary Information Form. Applicants should also complete an 'In Year School Application Form'. This form can be downloaded from the London Borough of Merton Website.
