LIDDINGTON

Y7 enjoyed their transition residential trip this week, travelling to a PGL centre in Liddington to work on team work skills and resilience, all while getting to know each other better. 203 students accompanied by 16 staff spent three days, two nights climbing, raft building and completing the vertical challenge and we returned exhausted, but pleased with our achievements. Highlights included the giant swing and the disco, where our students surprised all with their energy levels and positivity.

Particularly impressive was the way our girls looked after each other, encouraging those who lost their nerve at great heights, or who hadn’t tried the activities before. Everyone gave their best and staff were really proud of their attitude and perseverance. Those who suffered from homesickness pushed themselves to be brave and they soldiered on. I know the girls all grew in confidence over the three days.

A fab trip!
