On Tuesday 12th December, Year 8 students participated in a 'Career Panel' session designed to help students choose their options and motivate them by helping them to understand the relevance of what they learn at school, the skills valued in the workplace and the opportunities available beyond school- if they work hard!

Students heard from the following speakers at this event;

Francesca Ludwinski, Post-doctoral Scientist at King’s College London, British Heart Foundation Centre of Research (UHS Alumnae)

Rachel Valentine, Head of SeanHanna NVQ Academy,

Ellen Harrison, Engineer and acoustic consultant at WSP (UHS Alumnae)

Alison Lobo, Production Co-ordinator with BBC International. (UHS Alumnae)

Students then had the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session with the panel! Many thanks to our speakers for giving up their time to attend and speak to our students
